Upcoming Christmas Events For 2015
Is this your first time considering the Smoky Mountains as your Christmas getaway destination? Not sure where to start to get an idea of what special events we’ve got going in the mountains? If yes to either or both, then take a look at what we recommended for Christmas entertainment in nearby Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
12 Days of Christmas – Gatlinburg

To help those purchasing Christmas and holiday gifts for loved ones, nearly 100 businesses in the city will be extending their shopping hours until 10:00PM for added convenience in any context.
In addition, the 12 Days of Christmas will also include the Winterfest Tunes and Tales where costumed Appalachian characters sing and perform some of your favorite Smoky Mountain memories up and down the main street of downtown Gatlinburg. http://www.gatlinburg.com/events/details.aspx?id=196

New Years Eve
Fireworks in the Smokies is how we end the old year and begin a new year in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. In Pigeon Forge, the big event goes down at The Island in the middle of the downtown parkway and Gatlinburg with music beginning at 6:00PM and surrounding the Space Needle in downtown Gatlinburg where the entertainment begins at 10:00PM. At both locations, the fireworks will begin at the stroke of midnight. No admission fees for either!
Stay tuned with us again next month as new things are always going on here in the Smokies.
